UK Contractors Group (UKCIG) was officially launched on the 5th January 2009

UK Contractors Group (UKCIG) was officially launched on the 5th January 2009. UKCIG's role is to support the industry on sector specific issues. It will leave more general business issues to the newly formed CBI Construction Council.


UKCIG's vision is to be the leading trade body for the UK construction industry focussing on sector specific issues. It will endeavour to work along side the newly formed CBI Construction Council to deliver a more powerful voice for the UK contracting industry.


UKCIG's purpose is to work on its members' behalf to promote common interests on sector specific contracting issues. It will represent those interests in dialogue with Government and regulatory bodies and facilitate networking and the exchange of information and ideas. It will also endeavour to work closely with the CBI to ensure that the construction industry's voice is fully represented in its work on more general business issues - for example credit and liquidity issues, government procurement etc.

UKCIG of an electronic Cigarette is a battery operated smoking device. The rechargeable device contains no tobacco and requires no flame. It produces a vapor without tar but with better flavor than traditional cigarettes.

The e-cigarette consists of a battery, a heating element (atomizer or vaporizer), and a cartridge. The cartridge is the mouth piece and contains the flavor and nicotine.

When you inhale through the device the heating element vaporizes a nicotine solution stored in the cartridge. An LED on the opposite end of the device simulates a glow during inhalation.
